Child and Visitor Policy

To ensure the safety and security of all Convention attendees and hotel staff, we are asking that anyone attending Convention, even for part of a day or online, be registered. If you are considering bringing a visitor that you do not believe fits the current registration categories, please reach out to Jacob Weinberg at Jweinberg@ReconstructingJudaism.org. If you would like to bring someone to Convention and they intend to participate in Convention meals, we recommend they purchase a day ticket for the dates they wish to attend with you.

We consider the safety of children to be a top priority, and in consultation with our Health Advisory Task Force to promote the safety and security of all Convention attendees, we cannot allow unvaccinated children to be present in any of the Convention spaces (e.g., meeting rooms, exhibit spaces, plenary sessions, and services).  We understand that children under 5 are not yet eligible for the vaccine, and that this will mean they cannot participate in any Convention activities. We so wish that it were otherwise.

If you plan to bring a vaccinated child ages 5-13 with you to Convention, we ask that you purchase a children’s ticket at the end of your registration form. There are two options for children's tickets:

  • Cost of attending without meals is $54
  • Cost of attending with meals is $260

Please note that these discounted rates are only avaliable up to age 13, and children who are older will need to register at the adult rate. Please know that we are unable to provide children's programming at Convention.

  • All children ages 5 and up must be vaccinated to be present in person.  We require proof of vaccination.
  • All children under the age of 13 must always be accompanied by a grown-up or caregiver on the Convention floor and throughout the Hilton facilities.

If you have any questions, please contact Jacob Weinberg at JWeinberg@ReconstructingJudaism.org.
