Redefining Discipline - Establish Equitable Discipline Policies Using Data-based Decision Making
Participants in this series will reflect and revisit current discipline practices and policies. This session will be beneficial for teams wanting a clearer understanding of what consequences are equitable and appropriate in response to behaviors that interfere with academic and social success. Participants will collaborate to revise current discipline practices to include restorative consequences, trauma informed systems, and culturally reaffirming practices. Teams will finish training with clear definitions for behaviors and a clear policy for addressing student needs that emphasize proactive, instructive, and/or restorative approaches.
