The TUPE program, in collaboration with the LGBTQ+ District Resources and Supports, learn more about the importance of understanding sex assigned at birth, gender expression, and gender identity.
This virtual training will take place on March 27, 2024 5:30 to 6:30 pm. (Virtual)
Fee: Free
SCCOE can sponsor 2 AP or College Credits to the first 25 students that register (and attend) the Youth SOGIE Training.
This workshop covers:
-defining biological sex, gender expression, and gender identity
-how to offer support to LGBTQ+ peers on campus
-challenges faced by LGBTQ+ peers
-importance of raising awareness on school campuses on LGBTQ+ issues
-explore how Big Tobacco/Big Vape targets the LGBTQ+ community/youth through marketing
