“Advanced Bystander Assistance"
Learn how to be a side by side assistant to the EMS by enhancing what is learned in "A Crash Course for the Motorcyclist". Students are taught how to be a leader at a scene. Advanced airway, Roadside medical concerns, Assisting the EMS with extrication, femoral & brachial pressure points, role play, critical incident stress, Getting a bike off of an injured rider, and Preinforcement of PACT/ABCSS of Trauma. All skills are addressed & practiced. Get ready for an action packed hands on skills day!
IT - Instructor-Led ASM Advanced 300 series class. Instructors: Vicki Sanfelipo, RN & Peter Ham, RN. This class is OPEN for anyone to take who has completed the 100 series Basic class in 2023 or 2024. Location: HGTC - Strand Campus Conference Center Building 600. Due to the generosity of generosity of the Lovely Law Firm, this class is FREE (Value $150.00). Includes all course materials, a rocker patch, certificate, light breakfast and lunch.
