Paediatric Critical Care Society

 36th Annual Scientific Meeting

14th -16th September 2022

'Collaborating for Paediatric Critical Care'

News Update:

  Invitation - updated 14th July

On behalf of the local organising committee here in Leicester, I’m extremely excited to invite you to #PCCS22 – The time has come! It is not too late to register for #PCCS22 - being held at the home of Leicester's pride; the rugby premiership league winners - Leicester Tigers Mattioli Woods Welford Road stadium from 14th – 16th September.

The pandemic has truly uplifted the opportunities for shared learning, with the revolution of online conferences, webinars and such-like. But what we’ve really been craving for, is an enticing and enriching face-to-face meeting; a reunion of our critical care specialty in one place, truly collaborating to move paediatric critical care forwards.

The focus of the scientific programme features inclusivity and diversity from start to finish. We have secured esteemed speakers from inter-professional backgrounds world-wide, covering a wide variety of interesting topics, delivered in an interactive and immersive style.

“The PicPod” is collaborating with us to release exclusive podcast content with 4 of our speakers and will also be chairing a 100% slide-free session. Stay tuned to social media #PCCS22@PICSociety for teasers!

Our PIC & Mix innovation allows delegates the opportunity to pre-book and participate in clinical skill workshops, communication skills simulation, competitive challenges and mix it up with pre-booked “naps” and bespoke well-being treatments. Bookings available via the PICChub app

Our pre-conference workshops feature UK’s first and exclusive mobile ECMO simulation as well as an inter-professional focus on stabilisation of a critically ill child, renal replacement and the extremely popular CACTUS course. This year, we are also featuring a music therapy workshop, again, providing for all health professionals allied to critical care – with the Songbirds Music workshop.

The true beauty of the face-to-face conference lies in the opportunities to network in real life. We haven’t forgotten to schedule in time to chat and network whilst enjoying an exclusive view of a rugby pitch over canapes and a drink; and an opportunity to party, Bollywood-style at the grand Winstanley House.

Appreciating that for some, the feasibility of attending in-person may not be possible, there will be a single live stream, and recordings will be available at a later date. For the first time, in PCCS ASM history, delegates will have the opportunity to make a positive climate contribution when making bookings too.

The abstracts are in… so register now, don’t delay. Don’t forget to download and refresh the “PCCS Hub” app to access the “PCCS Conference 2022” community and PIC & Mix pre-booking portal.

I can’t wait to see you all there. its been too long!

HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II

1926 - 2022

As things currently stand, the PCCS 2022 Conference will take place as planned from 14th - 16th September 2022.

The Hosts and Organisers of this event are very saddened by the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and our thoughts are with King Charles III and the Royal Family at this very sad time.

There will be a minutes silence observed at the beginning of the conference.

  Invitation to Companies

We are back live and look forward to company news and training.

PCCS would like to invite companies to host workshops and sessions as well exhibit - again! We know a Conference with an Exhibition is very ‘time’ competitive for delegates to meet with companies and we plan features in the Exhibition area to encourage not only a higher profile for companies with delegates, but also enable companies to gain access and ‘contacts’ leading to future sales interaction.

We intend to offer more exposure through the on demand streaming of sessions with the E Company Zone.

Here at Leicester Children’s Hospital host team, our view is that we wish to provide  quality education best delivered live and on-site to our members, learning from each other’s experiences, great networking opportunity as well as quality profile and returns for your company's investment; be it in kind or in funding.

Please review this Prospectus and contact the team to plan your involvement.
